Adopt a rabbit
Adopting a rabbit is a ten year commitment of responsibility. Between cleaning litter boxes, sweeping hay, and annual vet appointments, owning a rabbit (or two) can be expensive and a lot of work!
But in return, you have a loving companion. There’s no love like a rabbit’s love. Soft bunny kisses, binkies, and zoomies will bring endless joy to your home.
Adoption Fees:
One Rabbit - $100
Pair of Bonded Rabbits - $150
Things to consider before adopting a rabbit…
A rabbit can live many years past their 10th birthday.
It is normal for children to grow out of their interests and become busy with other aspects of their lives.
A child may move out to attend university and the rabbit will become your own.
If you have other pets (depending on their temperment), managing a multi-species household can be tough.
New people might enter the household. I.e, relatives, new baby, tenants/roomates.
You may move homes and find difficulties finding pet-friendly rentals.
Are you able to commit to your rabbit for their entire life?
What you need when you adopt a rabbit.
Do you need to neuter your bunny?
Why adopt from a shelter instead of a pet store/breeder?
Rabbits from shelters come neutered/spayed which can save owners a few hundred dollars and hassle. Rabbits that aren’t neutered can display unwanted behaviours, are prone to cancer, and contributes to the overpopulation of rabbits.
Shelters can work with your lifestyle and home to make sure you bring home a rabbit compatible with you.
Pet stores and breeders do not properly educate people on rabbit care, which is why many rabbits die or are abandoned within their first year of ownership. When you adopt a rabbit from a shelter you will have our support anytime you need!
When you adopt from a shelter, you save two lives. The bunny you adopt, and the one that will take their place.
